A. Alfred Taubman Engineering, Architecture and Life Sciences Complex, home of the Marburger STEM Center, will be ready for Lawrence Tech students this fall.
PEA provided site engineering for the 3-story, high-tech, multi-disciplinary Marburger STEM building addition linking the existing Science Building and Engineering Building on the LTU campus. Engineering design included a campus-wide parking analysis, a unique fire truck access plan, as well as incorporating LID design into the overall stormwater management, including an underground cistern, bioswale, infiltration trench and infiltration pits. PEA worked with two renowned architects on the project: Thom Mayne, founder of Morphosis from California and Detroit’s Albert Kahn Associates.
