Floodplain Management

The Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) is the world’s leading organization for floodplain management. The ASFPM started the Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) program to enhance the knowledge and performance of local, state, federal and private-sector floodplain management professionals. CFM’s are required to pass an extensive examination covering all categories of floodplain management as well as complete continuing education and professional development requirements to maintain certification.

PEA has staff with over 28 years of experience in floodplain management. With several ASFPM CFM’s on staff, PEA is able to assist both public and private sector clients with all necessary approvals, permitting and map revisions for impacts to floodplains.
