Consumers Energy Northville Compressor Station Pavement Rehabilitation

Northville, Michigan

PEA was selected by Consumers Energy to provide civil engineering services for repaving of their Northville Compressor Station. Originally constructed in the 1950’s, this facility has had numerous upgrades, expansions and underground utility additions.

The purpose of this project was not only to repave the site, but provide a renovation to the facility to last well into the future. After PEA’s site evaluation, improvements were recommended to upgrade to current ADA accessibility requirements, improve site drainage and provide a new pavement surface.

Challenges with this project involved renovating the existing deteriorated and undersized storm sewer while avoiding the array of marked and unmarked underground utilities.

PEA’s construction engineering services assisted the owner with expeditious field decisions to adjust the engineering documents to keep the project on schedule and complete it before winter.

Services Provided
