This project consisted of the construction of a 65,000 sf skilled nursing facility on approximately 8.44 acres along 22 Mile Road, West of Van Dyke Avenue. The project entailed coordination of the re-grading of the existing detention pond located on the northern portion of the site. The existing pond was being utilized by the existing residential development to the north due to a pre-established drainage easement granting that privilege. The proposed site was in need of fill to raise the grade in relation to neighboring properties, so the design incorporated the expansion of the existing pond to generate fill material.
Additionally, access to the site required that a by-pass lane be provided along 22 Mile Road to allow through traffic the opportunity to pass instead of a center left turn lane. Additional drainage and paving improvements were designed and approved through the County Road Commission.
Surveying, site planning, and civil engineering services. The scope of work included schematic design, design development, construction documents, cost estimates, value engineering and entitlements.
