Independence Township, Michigan
PEA designed the largest healing garden in Michigan. The Garden is part of an expansive medical campus called the McLaren Health Care Village with two fountains, pathways, sculptures, four boardwalks crossing wetlands and a small creek, a labyrinth, several sitting areas, a social space, an area for quiet contemplation, and lush gardens with thousands of ornamental trees, shrubs and perennials. Sustainable design features include native plantings, use of natural drainage systems and an innovative irrigation system to reduce water use.
