Working with TMP Architecture, PEA prepared the site design for the new student fitness center, situated on the east side of the engineering department and west of the existing tennis courts. The building footprint is 26,884 sf on approximately 1.6 acres.

The 40,000 sf fitness center features a 2-court gymnasium for recreation and intramural sports; an elevated 3-lane track; a group exercise room; men and women’s lockers rooms and restrooms; a lobby and student lounge and snack bar.

PEA designed the new parking lot, pedestrian circulation and new sidewalks around the building which enhance the entryway. This project is a another landmark on the University of Detroit Mercy Livernois Campus as they continue to grow and expand.
